‘Bold and the Beautiful’s’ Rena Sofer is ready to part with Sherman Oaks home
Daytime soap star Rena Sofer and her husband, director-producer Sanford Bookstaver, have put their home in Sherman Oaks on the market for $2.649 million.
The two-story home, built in 1957 and since updated, sits at the end of a cul-de-sac with a swimming pool and decking that overlooks the surrounding canyon. Vaulted ceilings, vibrant wood floors and expanses of glass give the nearly 5,000 square feet of interior space a contemporary vibe.
A step-down living room with a wall fireplace, a dining room, a center-island kitchen, an office, five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms are among the living space. The master bedroom boasts a walk-in closet, a separate vanity room and a steam shower.
Outdoors, strings of market lights crisscross over the swimming pool. A sauna, a fire pit and mature landscaping complete the roughly three-quarter-acre setting.
The property last changed hands in 2004 for $1.8 million, property records show. Cindy Ambuehl of the Agency holds the listing.
Sofer, 48, has appeared on “The Bold and the Beautiful” since 2013. Among her other TV credits is the series “Melrose Place” “24” and “Heroes.”
The 43-year-old Bookstaver has credits that include the shows “Graceland,” “Chicago P.D.” and “Chicago Fire.” More recently, he directed episodes for the Starz crime drama “Power.”
