Tony Shalhoub is on the trail of a buyer for his Windsor Square home

“Monk” star Tony Shalhoub and his wife, actress Brooke Adams, have put their longtime home in the Windsor Square area of Los Angeles on the market for $3.988 million.

The classic Mediterranean Revival, built in 1922, sits on a manicured double lot with drought-tolerant gardens, a meditation area and a saltwater swimming pool and spa.

Inside, the two-story house retains its vintage good looks with hardwood floors, detailed molding, wainscoting and wood paneling. Large picture windows invite light while bringing the outdoors inside.

A formal living room with fireplace, a dining room, a media room and a center-island kitchen lie within nearly 4,400 square feet of space. Five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms include a master suite with a soaking tub, dual vanities and French doors that open to a balcony.

A guest apartment sits above the detached garage.

Multiple patios, an outdoor kitchen and a sunken garden complete the nearly half-acre setting.

The couple bought the house in 1993 for $675,000, property records show.

Shalhoub, 62, played the obsessive-compulsive detective Adrian Monk on the drama series from 2002 to 2009. He will appear in the upcoming blockbuster “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” and the new CBS drama “BrainDead.”

Adams, 66, has appeared in such Broadway productions as “The Cherry Orchard” and “The Heidi Chronicles.” Her film credits include “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” (1978), “The Dead Zone” (1983) and “Made-Up” (2002).
