Samsung teases Windows 8 tablet on Facebook
Samsung posted a picture of a Windows 8 tablet on Facebook late Sunday, teasing that it will be revealed at a trade show in Germany that starts later this week.
The South Korean company posted the picture on one of its Facebook pages with a caption “Don’t worry, it’s just around the corner.”
The image shows a tablet running Windows 8. Behind it is what appears to be a detachable keyboard, and toward the bottom of the picture, Samsung included “IFA 2012,” a consumer electronics trade show that starts Friday and goes through Sept. 5.
CNET reports that the tablet looks like the Series 5, which Samsung unveiled in a glass case at a June computer expo in Taiwan. The tech company is expected to formally introduce the tablet and all of its features at the trade show in Germany.
The Series 5 will reportedly run a full version of Windows 8. It will include an Intel chip, an 8-megapixel back camera, a 2-megapixel front camera and have a battery life of 10 hours, according to CNET.
The Series 5 sports an 11-inch display, according to the Verge.
Samsung posted a video teasing a gadget, which many believe is also the Series 5, last week. You can see the video below.
