Twitter founders speak at company all-hands meeting ahead of IPO

SAN FRANCISCO -- Twitter founders Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey turned up at the company’s San Francisco headquarters to talk with employees, setting off a firestorm of speculation that Twitter will make public on Thursday the papers it filed secretly over the summer to sell shares to the public.

Twitter staffer Luke Millar posted a photograph on Twitter of the three founders sitting on a couch with Dorsey speaking: “Twitter founders (@ev, @biz, @jack) in the house today.”

Each week Twitter holds “tea time,” in which Chief Executive Dick Costolo and other executives give short presentations and take questions. It usually takes place in the afternoon.

A Twitter spokesman confirmed the founders spoke at the all-hands meeting but would not say what was discussed.
