Shooting at Valley Plaza Mall in Bakersfield leaves at least 2 juveniles injured
A shooting Monday evening at the Valley Plaza Mall in Bakersfield left at least two people injured.
Bakersfield city spokesman, Joe Conroy, said two groups of people were fighting at the mall when someone “pulled a gun.” Two or three people were injured and the police are searching for one suspect, he said.
Two juvenile victims were taken to the hospital. Their conditions were known, Conroy said.
Conroy referred further questions to the Bakersfield police, who didn’t immediately respond.
Videos on social media show patrons running from the mall amid the sound of gunshots.
