How to get the COVID-19 vaccine in Ventura County

Vaccine eligibility is expanding again in Ventura County.

On March 25, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that every Californian 50 and older would become eligible on April 1, and all adults 16 and older on April 15. Ventura County said in a Twitter post that it would align with that timeline.

You must be a resident or employed in Ventura County to be eligible to receive a vaccine there.

If you are not yet eligible, sign up for Ventura County’s notification system to find out when you can make an appointment to get your vaccine.

For people who are currently eligible in Ventura County, here’s how to sign up for an appointment.

As of Monday, March 29, Ventura County has transitioned all of its vaccine sites to California’s MyTurn.ca.gov website. People with limited internet access can call MyTurn at (833) 422-4255 to make an appointment. The state says MyTurn will not allow advance scheduling. In other words: You will have to wait until the date you become eligible to make an appointment.

You can also make appointments at pharmacies. Here’s a list of sites to try to find an appointment.

If you made your first Moderna or Pfizer appointment through VenturaCountyRecovers.org, you should use that site again or call (805) 477-7161 to schedule your second dose.
