Kent Kresa sells Beverly Hills estate for $27.5 million

Former General Motors and Northrop Grumman Chairman Kent Kresa has sold his Beverly Hills estate for $27.5 million.

The restored Spanish Colonial Revival mansion, built in 1927, sits on 1.75 landscaped acres. The grounds feature parking for 30 cars, a swimming pool with a spa, an expansive lawn, a cabana, pathways, a rose garden, a vegetable garden and citrus trees. There are four more parking spots in the garage.

The 14,000 square feet of interior space includes living and family rooms, a dining room, a library/screening room, eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Wrought-iron work, leaded-glass windows, Malibu tile and hand-hewn beamed ceilings are among the details.

Actor James Coburn was among former owners of the property, which was listed at $38 million and later reduced to $35 million.

Joseph Babajian and Judy Cycon of Rodeo Realty were the listing agents. Barry Peele of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.
