Logan Marshall-Green to star opposite Lily Rabe in ‘Miss Julie’
Logan Marshall-Green, who appeared last summer as one of the doomed space voyagers in Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus,” will co-star alongside Lily Rabe in the Geffen Playhouse’s revival of Strindberg’s “Miss Julie.”
Marshall-Green will play the role of John, an ambitious manservant who engages in power games with the daughter (Rabe) of the household’s aristocratic lord. The actor replaces the previously announced Chris Messina.
“Miss Julie” opens May 1 at the Geffen’s Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater and will run through June 2.

Neil LaBute has adapted Strinberg’s 1888 play and updated the setting to 1920s Long Island. Jo Bonney will direct the production.
Marshall-Green is best known for “Prometheus” and the short-lived TNT series “Dark Blue.” He also has appeared in numerous New York stage productions, including Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” starring Kevin Kline, at the Public Theater in 2007.
His other stage work includes Adam Rapp’s “The Hallway Trilogy” by the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre; Adam Bock’s “Swimming in the Shallows” by Second Stage Theatre; and a 2005 revival of William Inge’s “Bus Stop” at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts.
Marshall-Green previously collaborated with LaBute on “A Distance From Here” at the MCC Theatre in New York in 2004.
