It’s been said that a bold red lip can be aging -- a makeup blunder to avoid if you’re trying to keep attention away from laugh lines and wrinkles around the mouth.
But at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday, 68-year-old Helen Mirren has proven that beauty myth wrong, punctuating her black and gold Escada gown with a bright red lip.
The look is anything but aging and showcases Mirren’s fearless yet age-appropriate style.
The reddish-orange hue on her lips ties together her swept-back white hair and black and gold gown with a timeless and regal elegance.
