Join Oscar nominee Pharrell Williams for a live chat on Monday
Update: Technical issues prevented the live webcast of our chat with Pharrell Williams but we’ve recorded the conversation and will post the video here later today.
With his multiple wins, a performance with Daft Punk and Stevie Wonder -- and, of course, his much-talked-about hat -- Pharrell Williams was perhaps the most visible presence at last month’s Grammy Awards.
But will the music-world superstar make a similar splash at the Oscars? Williams is nominated for his first Academy Award, for original song, with “Happy,” his aptly titled soul-funk jam from “Despicable Me 2.”
We’ll talk with the singer, rapper and producer about the song and its recognition in a live Web chat Monday at 10:50 a.m. PST.
Other topics up for discussion include his announced Oscar ceremony performance, “Happy’s” 24-hour-long video, Williams’ collaboration with Daft Punk and his upcoming solo album.
Readers are welcome to join in the conversation. Post your questions in the comments section or tweet them with the hashtag #asklatimes and we’ll try to pass them along.
