Aside from Donald Trump’s message to Ms. Lohan, there’s nothing major going down in Lindsayland right now. Michael Lohan has released more statements, but who wants to waste time or brain space reading those?

•LINDSAY GETS TRUMPED

Not one to be left out of a controversy, Donald Trump has offered his own advice to Lindsay, through nypost.com: “Find what you love doing (other than drugs and alcohol), work hard, stay focused, get a new set of parents – then join me on ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ which is shooting soon – I’ll keep you straight!”

Sure, Trump’s comment is insensitive and self-serving, but when you think about it, everybody from Jill Stuart to Michael Lohan is spinning this mess for personal gain – Trump’s just the only one who’s not trying to hide it!

•DINA FIGHTS BACK

Dina Lohan responded to Trump’s comment in typical Dina manner – by releasing a statement to “Access Hollywood”: “Donald, I’m really disappointed in the statement that was brought to my attention from the New York Post. I’ve always had a great admiration for your business sense and I’ve read all your books and learned from them! Your own brother died of alcoholism and you own Trump Vodka? You say Lindsay needs new parents? Such a rash statement without backing it with fact? I am a single mother of four children doing what I can during this difficult time! Do a background check of both parents and you will find the truth! Shame on you ... so many families suffer from this, yours included. We need solutions not opinions! – Dina and family.”

Somebody ought to tell Dina that she can communicate without releasing statements to tabloid news shows. Maybe she just doesn’t know! In related news, Dina has asked “Entertainment Tonight” if Ali would please pass the salt.
