Adam Levine with platinum blond hair: Love it or hate it?

Adam Levine has unleashed his inner blond.

Platinum blond, that is, as revealed by the picture he posted to Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

In the selfie, captioned “Apocalypse prep course complete,” the Maroon 5 frontman and “The Voice” coach poses in a tattoo-revealing tank top with fiancee Behati Prinsloo right over his shoulder.

Levine had been hinting days earlier that his hairstyle might be on his mind, noting that his “pompa-hawk” just wouldn’t stop growing. He’d shaved the sides of his head and debuted that edgy look in early April at the Season 6 premiere of “The Voice.”

Unexpectedly, he could actually be Kelly Osbourne’s twin in the hair department, though the “Fashion Police” star had her hair colored purple at first, then went for the short cut with shaved sides.

His fellow singing competition coaches Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira had posted no social-media comments on the new do as of Monday morning, but there had clearly been some online reaction: Levine followed up Sunday by saying, “I hope people understand that when they say my hair looks creepy i take that as the highest compliment.”
