Jay-Z and Beyoncé sang her single “Crazy in Love,” which featured Jay-Z at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall on August 28, 2003, in New York City.

On January 7, 2012, she gave birth to their daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.

The music moguls haven’t offered a direct explanation of the name choice but Bey did share a limerick on her website that potentially clarified the choice. They added on “Ivy” because of the significance of the number 4 -- or IV. Both of them were born on the 4th of their respective birth months and the couple was married on April 4, 2008.

OK, Beyoncé’s overnight surprise album drop isn’t news only to fans -- it’s news to other celebs too.

Because that’s how Sasha Fierce rolls.

Queen Bey dropped her “visual album,” “Beyoncé,” which features 14 songs and 17 videos, late Thursday, disrupting quite a few fans and much of the Internet.

“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it. I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans,” she said in the album announcement. “There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans.”

The 32-year-old singer and her husband Jay Z are already Forbes’ top-earning celebrity couple, and with the release of the album along with her ongoing Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, the pop diva could be taking in her biggest haul yet. Acording to Forbes, “she should easily double the $53 million she made this year.”

Mrs. Carter teams up with Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, rapper Drake, singers Miguel, Ryan Tedder and Frank Ocean, producers Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, the Dream, Sia and Hit Boy on the self-titled album.

“I feel like right now people experience music differently,” she said in the video announcement posted on Facebook. “I remember seeing ‘Thriller’ on TV with my family. It was an event. I’m now, looking back, I’m so lucky that I was born at that time. I miss that immersive experience.”

In a few tidbits posted in her announcement, glimpses of the Destiny’s Child alum’s personal life are arrayed and include images of Jay Z, daughter Blue Ivy and Bey growing up.

“I told my team I want to shoot a video for every song and put them all out at the same time. Everyone thought I was crazy but we’re actually doing it. It’s happening,” she said.

“I wanted to make this body of work and I feel like it’s something that’s lost in pop music. I wanted people to hear things differently and have a different first impression, not just listen to a 10-second clip but actually be able to see the whole vision of the album,” she added. “It was important that we made this a movie, we made this an experience. I wanted everyone to see the whole picture and to see how personal everything is to me. I would make my best art and I would put it out and that’s why it’s out today.”
