Christian Bale and wife expecting a second child

Christian Bale didn’t add an “American Hustle” Oscar to his list of accomplishments this year, but the Englishman might have a different achievement in which he can take pride: He’s reportedly expecting a second baby.

The star’s wife, Sibi Blazic, is pregnant with the couple’s second child, E! News reported. And Blazic is said to have been sporting a baby bump while “The Fighter” Oscar-winner, 40, made his rounds during award season.

“They are truly a supportive couple, he and Sibi are thrilled,” an insider told Us magazine. “She’s been traveling with him while he’s been touring around for ‘American Hustle.’”

Blazic’s growing belly was on full display in a black Dolce & Gabbana gown on the red carpet for the 86th Academy Awards earlier this month, according to several reports.

“The Dark Knight Rises” star married Blazic in March 2000. In March 2005, the pair welcomed their first child, a girl named Emmeline.

However, the fiercely private actor isn’t one to discuss his family life in interviews.

“Look, I’ve got incredible pride for my family,” Bale told Esquire in 2010. “I’ve absolutely fallen into that cliché of a dad who could just happily talk about my daughter endlessly. But it’s not what I’m about in terms of being an actor. I don’t want people to know about that.... I don’t want people to know me.... Because that buggers up my job.”
