Gwen Stefani confirms third pregnancy with #itsaboy photo

It’s going to be a boy for Gwen Stefani, the singer has confirmed, and it’s about time!

The No Doubt singer announced Friday on Instagram that she and husband Gavin Rossdale would be welcoming a third little guy into their ultra-hip fold, and in doing so, she finally, officially publicly acknowleged her pregnancy.

“I was ready to hand over the crown. but I guess I am still queen of the house. #itsaboy #surroundedbyboys,” Stefani wrote, sharing a photo of herself in a blue flannel shirt donning a king’s crown bedecked with dark blue jewels.

It’s the first and only photo on the 43-year-old’s brand new Instagram account, which she hyped up the day before with the introductory tweet: “tomorrow...”

Baby on board rumors cropped up in September, when she of the washboard abs was spotted wearing loose, baby bump-concealing ensembles. In October, Stefani stepped out for the opening of the Wallis in Los Angeles ensconced in a fringed Ferragamo gown that almost confirmed she was with child. But the singer kept mum about the pregnancy — until now.

This will be the third child for the L.A.M.B. designer, who already has two boys — Kingston, 7, and Zuma, 5 — with Rossdale, whom she married on Jan. 1, 2002. The Bush frontman, 48, also has a daughter, model Daisy Lowe, 24, from a previous relationship.

The singer told Marie Claire in fall 2012 that she and Rossdale had previously tried for another baby.

“I really, really, really wanted one about two years ago. And it didn’t really work out,” she said. “So … I feel good with what we’ve got. Everything works out how it should. You can’t plan anything, right? You can try.”

And try they did! We can’t wait to hear what oddly fantastic baby name she gives this one!
