Jimmy Fallon introduces baby No. 2 to ‘Tonight Show’ audience

Jimmy Fallon welcomed a new baby girl last week and after taking a few days off, “The Tonight Show” host returned on Monday to introduce his new bundle of joy to his audience.

“Her name is Frances Cole,” he said, sharing cellphone snapshots of his new daughter. “She’s a tiny little thing. Tiny, tiny, tiny little thing.

The pictures were also posted online via “The Tonight Show’s” official Twitter account.

In his monologue, the “completely exhausted” funnyman joked about living with three ladies. He said he’d be renaming the show “Early Evening Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and it would air at 8:30 p.m. rather than his 11:35 p.m. time slot just so he could get some sleep.

Fallon and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, definitely have their hands full: Frances, who was born Dec. 3 and weighed in at 5 pounds, 11 ounces, is their second child in less than two years. The couple welcomed daughter Winnie Rose in July 2013, via surrogate and used a surrogate again for Frances.

“I just want to thank everyone. The nurses and the doctor and the surrogate who had our baby,” he said, clarifying why the pregnancy was so hush-hush. “It’s true, we had a surrogate. I can’t say anything more because I don’t know what the rules are. But I just want to say that there are angels in Dallas, Texas, so thank you so much.”

The “Saturday Night Live” alum, 40, kept mentioning his baby girl throughout the show, even during his interviews with Chris Rock and country star Carrie Underwood, who said she feels pressure to sing well for her unborn baby.

“I joined the two-daughters club,” Fallon told Rock, who revealed that he’s overprotective of his two daughters, Lola and Zahra.

“Two kids are easier than one,” the “Take Five” star said, “because they want to play together. So when you have one, you have to be the show. When you’ve got two, you’re just an usher!”

Rock then delved into the benefits of having multiple kids.

“They’ll work for you, they’ll plow, they’ll sweep,” he said, but tempered his advice. “You’ve got girls, so you’ve got to watch out. You might have to hurt somebody.”
