The "Dexter" star took to Instagram in the early days of 2016 to share her engagement news and show off her simple sparkler.

"Best Christmas Ever," the 34-year-old wrote Monday, captioning a snapshot of her bejeweled hand interwoven with that of her camera-assistant boyfriend. A waterfront sunset served as the background.
The couple spent the holiday on Isla Grande in Colombia, according to Stiles' check-in on the image. Cook, who most recently worked on Alejandro G. Inarritu's "The Revenant," popped the question on Christmas Eve, People said.
The "10 Things I Hate About You" alum first met him on the set of her upcoming thriller, "Go With Me," which is slated for release in April, according to Us Weekly.
