The pop star’s preliminary toxicology report reveals that he tested positive for marijuana and prescription medication when he was arrested last week on suspicion of DUI.

A toxicology report released after Justin Bieber’s spate of legal troubles has revealed that the pop star had weed and prescription meds in his system when he was arrested in Miami Beach, Fla., last week, according to reports out Thursday.

The 19-year-old, who turned himself in to Toronto police on Wednesday in connection with a Dec. 29 assault incident involving a limo driver, tested positive for THC and Alprazolam, a key ingredient in anti-anxiety drugs such as Xanax, TMZ reported, posting the results of the screening online.

Bieber had told police that his mother had provided him with anti-anxiety medication and that he had admitted to smoking weed in his studio that night, the New York Daily News said.

Earlier this week, TMZ reported a low blood-alcohol content for the pop star during his arrest. That would suggest he had been under the influence of something else when he was pulled over while he and pal Khalil Amir Sharieff were arrested in Miami Beach after reports of illegal street racing.

The “Boyfriend” singer’s urine was tested after the Jan. 23 arrest in which he was charged with resisting arrest, driving under the influence and driving with an expired license. The singer is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 14 but has already pleaded not guilty to the charges.

As for the Toronto incident, the YouTube sensation was charged with assault for allegedly hitting a Toronto limousine driver several times in the back of the head when he was in town for a Maple Leafs hockey game, according to the Associated Press.

Details of the altercation emerged just after Bieber’s attorney entered the not guilty plea in Florida. The Biebs has been charged with one count of assault in the case and is scheduled to appear in Toronto on March 10, Associated Press said.

Bieber was reportedly booked, cited and released on his own recognizance.

After the charges, Bieber’s father, Jeremy Bieber, shared a Twitpic of his son asleep in bed next to his haf-brother, Jaxon, 4.

“Safe and sound #homesweethome,” he captioned the photo.

The Biebs is also at the center of a deportation petition that has more than 100,000 signatures, meaning that it will be headed to the White House to be reviewed by the president. As of press time, the online petition was just shy of 200,000 signatures.

Another embattled Canadian, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, stuck up for the pop star on Thursday, according to CTV. When asked about the pop singer’s status as “Canada’s worst export” during a interview with D.C.’s Sport’s Junkies radio show, Ford said that Bieber is only 19 and asked the radio personalities to think back to when they were that age.

“He’s a young guy, 19 years old,” the mayor said. “I wish I was as successful as he was.”

And amid his escalating legal woes, on Wednesday the pop star announced the release of his latest single, “Confident.”
