Kate Upton, Bobbi Brown share collaboration, admiration

Kate Upton is the new face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics — only the second celebrity to notch that honor, after Katie Holmes got the job in late 2012.

The three-time Sports Illustrated cover model joined the cosmetic line’s namesake Friday on “Good Morning America” to discuss the move (though the voluptuous 21-year-old’s blouse may have had its own agenda during the appearance).

Brown told “GMA’s” Robin Roberts that working with the young model is “a dream.”

“She’s not just a woman that’s beautiful — we all know that — but she is smart, she is nice and she creates her own rules, and a I love a woman who does that,” Brown said.

“That’s why I was so excited to meet Bobbi and be in collaboration with Bobbi Brown, because it’s so amazing,” Upton said. “Every day when I’m on set with you I’m so inspired, and it’s all about your inner beauty and makeup’s just to enhance that.”

Upton shared that enthusiasm on social media as well.

“So happy to finally announce I am the new face of @bobbibrown !! Honored to work with @justbobbibrown,” she wrote, sharing her beauty shot from the campaign.

Following the televised announcement, the beauty brand also revealed the campaign’s first snapshot.

Upton, who was named the new face of shopping-mall staple Express last week, said she was inspired by the makeup guru’s “Pretty Powerful” campaign, which features real women, and the team is working on a special line based on the model’s colors. The first campaign will be released in July, according to E! News.

“I knew Kate’s public face, too, but when I met her in person, it was quickly clear that Kate is really something special,” Brown wrote in an extended announcement on her website. “She exudes confidence, warmth, and authenticity—her skin glows, and you can immediately tell that she’s the sort of person who really loves her life. She’s also a maverick who has carved her own path to success. I was an instant fan.”

In yet another video, Upton reveals to Brown that she gets her confidence from her mother, that her beauty secret is contouring the cheek and that she applies moisturizer when she’s having “a bad beauty day.” Watch the pair gush over each other here.
