Kerry Washington and 49ers’ Nnamdi Asomugha are married

Kerry Washington is married! And who knew she was even dating!

The “Scandal” star and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha were wed June 24 in Idaho, according to a marriage certificate obtained by E! News. A source told the website the couple had been dating for a year.

Signatures from Washington’s parents in the witness part of the document indicate family was there; the groom’s sister, minister Chisaraukwu Asomugha of Silver Spring, Md., was the officiant.

Washington had checked out temporarily on Twitter on June 19, telling her nearly 1 million avid followers, “Tweeples! Im taking a tweet break WHAT?!..Yup! U will NOT hear from me 4 a month, but know that Im thinking of u #Gladiators w/much LUV!”

She was, however, lured out of hiding — which we assume is actually honeymooning — to thank fans after winning a best actress trophy at the BET Awards on June 30.

“Im STILL on vacay & twitter hiatus but...I COULDNT RESIST THANKING U ALL! So gr8ful 4 @BETAwards win! Thx 4 VOTING! BEST FANS EVER!,” she wrote on Monday.
