Watch Reese Witherspoon getting arrested (via dashcam video)

Even when she’s apparently drunk, hassling a cop and lying about being pregnant and having to pee, Reese Witherspoon is pretty dang cute.

Witness the dashcam footage above from her April arrest in Atlanta on an allegation of disorderly conduct while her husband, Jim Toth, was being arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Not that hassling cops is “cute,” or that DUI is any kind of funny, but ... you know what we mean.

Insistent that she’s an “American citizen” who therefore has a right to do anything she wants, Witherspoon is instructed that actually, no, she has to do what the officer orders, “American soil” or not.

The famous “Do you know my name?” comment comes pretty early on.

“I done told you how things work,” the trooper says. “You want to get out and get up in my investigation? That’s OK.”

“Yes sir I do,” the “Legally Blonde” actress replies.

“Well, guess what. We have a law for that, It’s called obstruction.”

“I’m obstructing your justice?,” is her classic reply. “Really? I’m being anti-American?”

“Yep, go sit down,” he says.

“Wow.”

Toth, amusingly enough, throws his wife under the bus, apologizing contritely to the officer and telling him, “I had nothing to do with that.”

Just watch the video and enjoy its awesomeness — or watch in horror at her admitted disrespect to the trooper involved, if you so desire. Comments are always welcome.

Toth pleaded guilty to DUI and Witherspoon pleaded no contest to physical obstruction of another Thursday in an Atlanta court, earning community service, alcohol education and probation for him and a $213 fine for her.

No word on whether she ever got to pee.
