Rob Kardashian has reportedly been hospitalized and diagnosed with diabetes.

The 28-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star was recently rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, according to TMZ, which said he wasn’t feeling well over the weekend and when his condition worsened his family sought medical attention.

Reps for members of the Kardashian family did not immediately respond to The Times’ requests for comment.

Once doctors stabilized him and ran tests, the site said, the Arthur George sock-maker was diagnosed with diabetes and remained in the hospital as of Tuesday afternoon.

E! News, whose network airs the Kardashians’ many reality series, said that Kardashian returned home after the health scare.

“He’s home already. He went for a little and is fine now. It was a wake-up call,” the source told the site, adding that tests showed that his blood sugar levels were very high and doctors told him that his condition would worsen if he didn’t lose weight, exercise and dramatically change his diet.

According to Gossip Cop, the reclusive E! personality had been warned in 2014 that he could develop the disease, a concern that was chronicled on the family’s reality series in March 2014. Both Gossip Cop and TMZ said that the diagnosis is making the “Dancing With the Stars” alum resolve to live a healthier lifestyle.

The youngest child of momager Kris Jenner and late O.J. Simpson defense lawyer Robert Kardashian has kept a low profile for the past few years as he’s struggled with weight and image issues. Kardashian has surfaced occasionally on social media, often to share throwback photos or cryptic and promotional messages.

Kardashian, last spotted out in public on an In-N-Out run in June, lives with his sister Khloe Kardashian, whose husband, Lamar Odom, is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after being found unresponsive at a Nevada brothel in October.

The USC grad purportedly gained 100 pounds over the years and joked last August that the heft was brought on by his love of milkshakes.
