‘True Blood’ star Rutina Wesley files for divorce

Rutina Wesley of “True Blood” has filed for divorce from her husband of eight years.

Wesley, 34, plays feisty vampire Tara Thornton in the campy HBO series, which wrapped its sixth season on Sunday. The actress filed for the split from actor Jacob Fishel on Aug. 16, according to court documents obtained by People and TMZ.

In the document, Wesley cited irreconcilable differences and has requested that Fishel not receive any spousal support.

Wesley and Fishel met while attending the Juilliard School and married when they graduated in June 2005.

The two reportedly have been separated since July and have no children together.
