‘Big Bang Theory’s’ Simon Helberg has baby No. 2 on the way
Break out the turtleneck onesies! “The Big Bang Theory’s” Simon Helberg is expecting his second child.
Helberg, who plays engineer-turned-astronaut Howard Wolowitz on the quirky CBS comedy, made the announcement during the 2013 SAG Awards at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday soon after he and his wife, Jocelyn Towne, had hit the red carpet.
“Yes, my wife is [pregnant,]” the 33-year-old told Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell. “I can’t take all the credit.”

Helberg and Towne married in 2007 and are parents to daughter Adeline, whom they welcomed in May 2012. Towne, 37, also an actress, sweetly cradled her growing belly during photo ops on the red carpet. Back in 2012, the actress similarly showed off her pregnancy curve at the SAG Awards, which prompted Helberg to get a little, shall we say, nostalgic.
“Every time I come to the SAG Awards there’s something about this night,” Helberg joked alongside costar Mayim Bialik. “About eight months before [the SAG Awards] I get really the urge, I feel the romance and then, yeah, we get nominated so it’s hand in hand.”
The actor was nominated along with his castmates for ensemble in a comedy series but was beat out by the cast of ABC’s “Modern Family.”
