A little song and dance: Neil Patrick Harris returns to host “The 65th Annual Tony Awards,” and young performers vie for a recurring role on the pop-culture juggernaut that is “Glee” on the reality series “The Glee Project.” (CBS, 8 p.m.; Oxygen, 9 p.m.)

She’s played an FBI profiler on “Profiler” and an off-the-rails ATF agent on “Sons of Anarchy.” And now Ally Walker dons LAPD blue as a homicide detective — and divorced mother of two — in the new drama “The Protector.” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.)

MONDAY

If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. But if you can stand the heat, there’s “A Matter of Taste: Serving Up Paul Liebrandt.” The culinary wunderkind and “molecular gastronomy” proponent is profiled in this new documentary. (HBO, 9 p.m.)

TUESDAY

“Jon Benjamin Has a Van,” which should come in handy since the comic and voice-over actor (“Archer,” “Family Guy”) will be traveling far and wide in search of news stories to satirize in this live-action series. (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.; also Wed.)

WEDNESDAY

“The Nanny’s” Fran Drescher and “A Mighty Wind’s” John Michael Higgins (above) are “Happily Divorced” even though he’s gay, she’s back on the singles scene, and they’re living together — oy vey! — in this new sitcom. (TV Land, 10:30 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Worse than “Waterworld”? Scientists discuss global warming, rising sea levels and the possibility of an all-out aqua-pocalypse — and what might be done to spare coastal populations — in the special “Earth Under Water.” (National Geographic, 7 and 10 p.m.)

FRIDAY

Jamie Lee Curtis presents Jamie Oliver with the Public Health Champion award from the UCLA School of Public Health, for bringing his message of healthy eating to children and families across the country, on “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.” (9 p.m. ABC)

SATURDAY

To some, Christopher Nolan’s effects-laden 2010 blockbuster “Inception” was like a dream within a dream within a dream. To others, it was just an action movie within an action movie within an action movie. With Leonardo DiCaprio (below). (HBO, 8 p.m.)
