Sightings: Dave Franco’s date night, ‘True Blood’ hunk shops

While James Franco gears up to enchant us in “Oz the Great and Powerful,” his younger brother Dave continues to work his own magic on girlfriend Alison Brie.

The “Mad Men” actress has been seeing Dave since late May (after he ended this relationship), and clearly the pair has kept the heat throughout the summer.

Spotted on Saturday at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills, Alison and Dave -- whom everyone referred to as “Davey” (is that what we’re doing now?) -- rolled together to the birthday party of actress Danielle Panabaker.

The pair snuggled in a rooftop booth, snacking on cupcakes and chatting with friends like “Harry Potter” villain Tom Felton and Brie’s Emmy-nominated “Mad Men” costar Ben Feldman. Russian Standard cocktails flowed for additional attendees like newly single Willa Ford. Elsewhere in Hollywood...

“True Blood” shape-shifter Sam Trammel combined pampering with charity last week. Kiehl’s opened shop in Manhattan Beach on Friday, and used the ribbon cutting to benefit Project Angel Food (it provides meals to men, women and children in Los Angeles affected by HIV/AIDS). Trammel attended with folks like Alan Cumming.

Alanis Morissette held an intimate listening session with Sonos Studios and Target in Los Angeles, where fans and friends got a preview of her upcoming record “Havoc and Bright Lights.” Teen singer Miranda Cosgrove and “Survivor” host Jeff Probst came to show their support, as the singer belted tracks like “Hand in My Pocket” and “Thank You.”
