Busy Philipps reveals she’s having another girl

Busy Philipps has announced that she’s having another girl.

The pregnant “Cougar Town” actress is expecting a second child with husband Marc Silverstein, which she originally announced on Twitter in December.

“We’ve known for a long time now, I just haven’t had any reason to say it, but we’re having another girl. We’re really excited,” she told The Huffington Post.

The 33-year-old opened up about her pregnancy at the premiere of “A Case of You” at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Sunday. The actress wore a blush blazer paired with a black jumpsuit, which accentuated her growing baby bump. The film’s director, Kat Coiro, and and star Evan Rachel Wood both showed off their baby bellies too. The romantic comedy is written by Justin Long, stars Peter Dinklage, Vince Vaughan, Sienna Miller and Brendan Fraser, and is due out this year.

The former social media ambassador for the SAG Awards and her husband, whom she married on Valentine’s Day 2007, already have a 4-year-old daughter named Birdie Leigh. And her firstborn seems to be thrilled about her pending big-sister status.

“My daughter is super excited,” Philipps said. “She’s actually incredibly helpful, and she’s 4½, so she’s really understanding things, when I say like, ‘Mom can’t carry you right now because the baby in her tummy is pressing down on her bladder!’ She understands what that means, and she’s cool with it.

“So I think for right now it’s OK, but we’ll see what happens when the actual baby comes. I’m planning for that moment like, ‘And when does she go back?’ I know that will happen.”

This time around has been worlds different from her “carefree” first pregnancy, however.

“I lost my voice because I have acid reflux. I mean, it’s disgusting! Your body is just hijacked, it’s gross,” she said.

Between Philipps and Kim Kardashian, pregnancy ain’t looking too swell.
