‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ ‘Furious 7’ and ‘Cinderella’ among makeup and hair award winners
The feature films “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Furious 7,” “Pitch Perfect 2” and Cinderella” were among the winners Saturday evening at the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylist Guild Awards held at Paramount Studios theater.
James Mackinnon, Autumn Butler and Roxy D’Alonzo won in the contemporary makeup category for “Furious 7.” Period and/or character makeup honors went to Lesley Vanderwalt, Nadine Prigge and Ailie Smith for “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Damian Martin, Elka Wardega and Jaco Snyman received the award for makeup special effects for “Fury Road.”
Cheryl Marks, Meagan Herrera, Daina Daigle won for contemporary hairstyling for “Pitch Perfect 2,” while Carol Hemming, Orla Carroll and Wakana Yoshihara received the award for period and/or character hairstyling for “Cinderella.”
Among the TV winners Saturday evening were the makeup artists and hairstylists for “Dancing With the Stars,” “Game of Thrones” and “American Horror Story: Hotel.”
Johnny Depp presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Oscar-winning makeup artist Ve Neill and Oscar-winning hairstylist Yolanda Toussieng.
