Area theme parks haven’t even completed their Halloween makeovers yet, but the pop music world is already looking ahead to Christmas. Singer Kelly Clarkson on Monday unveiled details on her first holiday-themed collection, “Wrapped in Red,” due Oct. 29.

The lead-off single will be the original “Underneath the Tree.” The song again sees Clarkson working with local producer Greg Kurstin, one half of indie-pop act Bird and the Bee and a songwriter/producer on Clarkson’s smash “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).” The song is at least one of two non-traditional Christmas songs on the album, as the title track is also a new track.

Like most Christmas albums, however, Clarkson’s will largely be one of familiarity. Other songs targeted for “Wrapped in Red” include “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Blue Christmas,” “Run Run Rudolph” and “Please Come Home for Christmas.”

A full track listing has not yet been revealed. Country vocalist Ronnie Dunn has previously stated via Facebook that he would be appearing on the collection.

Clarkson is no stranger to the world of holiday songs. She appeared last year on Blake Shelton’s “Not So Family Christmas” NBC special and its accompanying album, “Cheers, It’s Christmas.” She’s also covered a version of the well-traveled songs “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Grown Up Christmas List.”
