Lady Gaga goes nude in new video
It’s hard to imagine a better way to draw attention to your Kickstarter campaign than to have Lady Gaga shed her clothes in a promo video.
That’s what the New York-based Marina Abramovic Institute has done in seeking the public’s financial support for the interdisciplinary performance and education method, part of which involves nudity “to heighten participants’ awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment,” according to a note with the short Vimeo video.

Gaga took part in the Abramovic Method last week at a three-day retreat in upstate New York, according to the statement. The video opens with her lying on a wooden floor fully clothed while singing a single note for an extended period. The singing continues, with Gaga in different environments including standing in a stream in the rain, then blindfolded and naked in the woods, finally surrounded by what appear to be large chunks of quartz crystal.
The MAI Kickstarter campaign aims to raise $600,000 for the first phase of a complete renovation of the MAI facility in Hudson, N.Y., part of an overall $20-million effort.
The video is not suitable for family viewing, so curious readers will have to search it out for themselves.
