Listen: Mary J. Blige joins Disclosure for new version of ‘F for You’
They’re up for a Grammy Award on Sunday they almost certainly will lose to Daft Punk. But don’t cry for the Lawrence brothers of England’s Disclosure: Their new single features no less a guest star than Mary J. Blige.
The R&B great put in a surprise appearance this week during Disclosure’s show at Terminal 5 in New York, where Sting also turned up to see the duo, as evidenced in a backstage photo posted on Twitter.

Blige sang “F for You,” a highlight from the Lawrences’ excellent 2013 disc “Settle,” which is nominated (alongside Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories”) for the Grammy for dance/electronica album. And now there’s a studio version of the track, the group’s second high-profile collaboration of the last few months following “Together” with Nile Rodgers.
Disclosure is nearing the end of a brief North American tour, but it is set to return to the U.S. in April for performances at Coachella.
