Listen to Britney Spears’ new single ‘Work Bitch’
Britney Spears has some advice for the small army of female pop stars vying for domination this fall: “You better work, bitch.”
Those words of wisdom arrive in a new single the one-time teen-pop queen released Sunday, slightly ahead of schedule after what Spears referred to in a tweet as a low-quality version of “Work Bitch” leaked to the Internet. (Spears had originally planned to unveil the song Monday night.)
“You want a hard body? You want a Bugatti? You want a Maserati?” she asks in the hard-thumping, club-ready dance track. “You better work, bitch.”
Reportedly co-written by will.i.am and Sebastian Ingrosso of Swedish House Mafia, the song is said to be the first sampling from Spears’ forthcoming follow-up to 2011’s excellent “Femme Fatale.”
