Riverdale Gladys (recurring guest star Gina Gershon) returns to town, throwing a wrench into Veronica’s (Camila Mendes) plans to steer her father (Mark Consuelos) away from the drug trade in the new episode. Meanwhile, Archie’s (K.J. Apa) eagerness to get into the boxing ring lands him in hot water. Madelaine Petsch also stars. 8 p.m. KTLA

The Goldbergs Erica, Barry and Adam (Hayley Orrantia, Troy Gentile and Sean Giambrone) are not happy when Gleb (Joey Slotnick), a distant relative, visits from Russia, until they realize he can make their lives easier. Wendi McLendon-Covey also stars. 8 p.m. ABC

Documentary Now! This new episode parodies filmmaker D.A. Pennebaker’s documentary “Original Cast Album: Company,” which chronicled the overnight recording of a 1970 Stephen Sondheim Broadway musical album. Taran Killam, James Urbaniak and John Mulaney guest star. 11 p.m. IFC

Ministry of Evil: The Twisted Cult of Tony Alamo Filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (“Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures”) are executive producers for this new true-crime documentary series that chronicles the life and crimes of the televangelist who, with his wife, launched a fundamentalist foundation in 1969 that quickly transformed into a cult. 11 p.m. Sundance

Alien News Desk Lorne Michaels is among those behind this late-night animated series, a topical half-hour set in an extraterrestrial newsroom. Will Forte and Heidi Gardner provide the voices of alien news anchors who offer reports and commentary concerning the most baffling species in the universe: humans. 11 p.m. Syfy
