FX announced premiere dates for Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” along with a new series from “Louie” costars Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K. and the next installment of “American Horror Story.”

A teaser for “Atlanta” was released last month, and the half-hour comedy series will debut on Sept. 6 at 10 p.m. The show follows two cousins trying to make it in the city’s vibrant music scene with Glover as the series’ creator and star along with “Short Term 12’s” Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Brian Tyree Henry of “Boardwalk Empire.” In addition to Glover’s run on NBC’s “Community” and an earlier stint as a writer on “30 Rock,” he also comes to this show with experience in the music industry, having performed under the name Childish Gambino.

Co-created by Adlon and C.K., “Better Things” stars Adlon as a single mother attempting to raise three daughters and balance an acting career in Los Angeles. The series premieres on Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. and comes out of a collaboration between Adlon and C.K. that began with the mid-’00s HBO series “Lucky Louie.” The series is produced by C.K.’s production company, which also spawned the FX series “Baskets,” and recently shot in Canoga Park.

The sixth season of “American Horror Story” premieres on Sept. 14 at 10 p.m., but other details thus far have been scarce. The network toyed with the mystery last week, revealing a logo on social media built around a six and a question mark.
