“Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night” has the country-music hit-maker sharing the stage with the likes of Keith Urban, John Fogerty and Mrs. McGraw, a.k.a. Faith Hill. 9 p.m. CBS

The new series “North America” is a Canada-to-Panama survey of the natural wonders of the continent we call home. Tom Selleck narrates. 9 p.m. Discovery

MONDAY

Mel Brooks, the mirth-maker behind such comedy classics as “The Producers,” “Blazing Saddles” and “Young Frankenstein,” is profiled on “American Masters.” 9 p.m. KOCE

Poster child: A French artist known only as “JR” discusses his methods and his message in “Inside Out: The People’s Art Project.” 9 p.m. HBO

Better get a mop, because the remaining contestants will be leaving it all on the floor on the two-night season finale of “Dancing With the Stars.” 8 p.m. ABC; 9 p.m. Tue.

Buh-bye, “Rules of Engagement.” The sitcom ends its run after seven seasons.... Not bad, for a show that co-starred David Spade. 8:30 p.m. CBS

Where there’s a will: Three siblings vie for their dearly departed daddy’s fortune in the new sitcom “The Goodwin Games.” Scott Foley and Beau Bridges star. 8:30 p.m. Fox

It’s check-out time on the season finale of the “Psycho”-inspired drama “Bates Motel.” And Cathy (Laura Linney) might be checking out for good on the series finale of “The Big C: Hereafter.” 10 p.m. A&E; 10 p.m. Showtime

The question is not so much “whodunit?” as “why did they do it?” in the new procedural drama “Motive.” With Kristin Lehman and Lauren Holly. 10 p.m. ABC; also 9 p.m. Thurs.

TUESDAY

A super-secret U.S. Army unit that specialized in battlefield bafflements meant to fool the enemy during WWII — fake tanks, sound effects, etc. — is saluted in the special “The Ghost Army.” 8 p.m. KOCE

Where in the world is “Jeopardy’s” Alex Trebek? Why, he’s in Washington, D.C., playing master of ceremonies when young students from around the country compete at “Geo Bee 2013.” 7 p.m. National Geographic

A housewife’s sandwich-related mishap leads to a near-death experience and a newfound faith in divine intervention in the new comedy “Save Me.” With Anne Heche, pictured. 8 and 8:30 p.m. NBC

What happens to the heavy-metal dream deferred? The saga of the drug-addled lead singer of little-known 1970s-era rock band Pentagram is told in the 2011 rock-doc “Last Days Here.” 9:30 p.m. Showtime

The crew from daytime TV’s “The Chew” invites you to savor the smoky, spicy flavors of summer with an “Ultimate BBQ Cookout Countdown.” 9 p.m. ABC
