‘Big Brother’ live feeds reveal racist, homophobic comments
The streaming live feeds of the current cast of “Big Brother” can enhance the prime-time viewing experience, but recently those feeds captured some contestants of the CBS reality series uttering racist and homophobic comments.
According to Zap2It, “Big Brother” housemates GinaMarie, Kaitlin and Aaryn were recently overheard talking about two black cast members, Candace and Howard.
One of the girls was overheard saying, “Blacks stick together. ... They’re like tokens. ... They’re like black Barbie and Kens.”

Another girl said that Candace’s “blackness” was coming out.
Another cast member, Andy, became the subject of Aaryn’s dislike. The Texas State University student dissed Andy, saying he would probably get the MVP because “people love the queers.”
The eyebrow-raising quotes were collected on YouTube, but have since been removed because of a copyright claim by Endemol USA, the studio behind “Big Brother.”
Predictably, the comments have not been aired as part of CBS’ prime-time airing of “Big Brother.” That has further raised the ire of a former cast member, Ragan Fox, who appeared on the 13th edition of the show. But rather than rail against the idea of this happening on the show, Fox said she wishes it would get wider exposure.
“’Big Brother’ I LOVE you, but, if you really want to provide a groundbreaking twist, SHOW CBS VIEWERS HOW SOME STRAIGHT, WHITE PEOPLE talk about gays, Asian Americans, and African Americans,” he wrote on his website “Capitalize on the Paula Deen controversy! Hate speech is currently a hot topic in the United States. It would be irresponsible to punt on this issue. What makes Aaryn’s homophobia and racism especially insidious is that it comes packaged in a bright-eyed, pageant-like exterior. I mean, how can somebody so sweet looking spew so much venom? Viewers would have to SEE it to BELIEVE it.”
