‘Breaking Bad’ finale will screen at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

The saga of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will come to a conclusion this fall when AMC airs the finale of “Breaking Bad.” But fans in the L.A. area will get an extra special opportunity to bid farewell to New Mexico’s most notorious pair of meth dealers with a special screening at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Series star Aaron Paul, who plays Pinkman, announced on Wednesday that a special screening of the finale episode on Sept. 29 (the same night the episode airs on TV) would take place at the historic cemetery located on Santa Monica Boulevard.

On Twitter he wrote, “Who’s coming with me?”

“Breaking Bad” isn’t the only thing to screen at the cemetery; in fact, it’s become a popular destination for film fans with the Cinespia screening series, which projects films there regularly on weekends.

But though everything from “Scream” to “Caddyshack” screens at the cemetery, one has to wonder if the setting seems to foreshadow a dire end for Walter White (Bryan Cranston) at the end of the series. Obviously, no one is talking on that score.

The final eight episodes of “Breaking Bad” begin Aug. 11, preceded by a marathon of the first eight episodes from the season.
