The Amazing Race The unscripted competition series begins its 25th season in New York’s Times Square with 11 new teams vying for the $1-million prize at the end of an around-the-globe contest. Phil Keoghan returns as host. 8 p.m. CBS
Shark Tank The inventive series returns with back-to-back episodes. First,? a Texas couple has a? plan to create and market a unique baby swaddler. Then, a Los Angeles man pushes the idea of a nail salon for males. In the? second hour, two Las Vegas men offer a mobile wedding service. The “Sharks” (potential investors) include Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner. 8 p.m. ABC
Hawaii Five-0 In the season premiere, panic erupts on Oahu when an unknown assailant begins aiming armed drones at ordinary citizens, forcing the island into lockdown. Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan star. 9 p.m. CBS
Live From Lincoln Center Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson star in the New York Philharmonic’s production of the Stephen Sondheim thriller “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” 9 p.m. KOCE
