Hillary Clinton name-drops with Stephen Colbert

Hillary Rodham Clinton has been everywhere promoting her new memoir “Hard Choices” and not answering the question of whether she’s planning to run for president in 2016. But there’s no way the supposed front-runner for the Democratic nomination would ever go on “The Colbert Report,” right? Stephen Colbert’s character on the show is an ultra-conservative.

Perhaps that’s why Clinton did the whole “surprise guest” thing on Tuesday night’s show.

As the host was chastising Clinton for dropping so many names in her book, such as Tanzanian Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda or Burmese Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi, the former first lady and secretary of State, strode out on the stage to chants of “Hil-lar-y! Hil-lar-y!”

Clinton still didn’t say if she’s planning a White House run, but she sure revealed quite a few big names in her corner as she attempted to out name-drop Colbert. While Colbert may call Oprah Winfrey “Oprah,” Clinton just calls her “O.”

Failing at that, Colbert then challenged Clinton with some actual hard choices.

“Which would you rather fight? One horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?” Colbert challenged.

Amazingly, Clinton laid out her plan in great detail.

“We’d have peace-peace here. Peace-peace there. Here a peace. There a peace. Everywhere a peace!” she concluded.

If being able to combine childhood songs and worldwide strategic planning is an applicable skill to the Oval Office, then Clinton has this thing in the bag.
