Jennifer Hudson has skirt malfunction on ‘Chelsea Lately’

Jennifer Hudson stopped by “Chelsea Lately” on Thursday and made quite an entrance.

Just as the singer was sitting down to chat, the zipper on her black leather skirt gave way, nearly exposing way more than Hudson intended.

Luckily, Handler was right there to save her, launching out of her seat and screaming, “Oh my God!”

“We have to turn around!” she yelled as she rushed to Hudson’s aid.

But in her haste to prevent the image of too much Hudson leg from searing itself into the eyes of the audience, Handler almost made a bad situation worse.

“Don’t break the zipper!” Hudson wailed as Handler tugged at her dress.

“I need backup!” Handler screamed.

Hudson and Handler eventually settled down enough to discuss Hudson’s latest acting role, in the movie “The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete,” in which she plays a heroin addict.

Hudson revealed that she’s never even had so much as an alcoholic drink in her life, making playing the role of a drug addict a bit of a challenge.

“What are you waiting for?” Handler said.

“I’ve never been interested,” Hudson said. “No one believes it.”

So what did she use as an actress to re-create the feeling of getting high? The same feeling when she has sex.

“I can do that part,” Hudson said.
