It’s the gift that keeps on giving: MTV’s omnipresent “Jersey Shore” has spawned another offshoot, with the network announcing Tuesday that the show’s palest cast member, Vinny Guadagnino, will be getting a hybrid talk show/reality series.

“The Show With Vinny” -- yep, that’s its name -- is described as a series that “will shatter the typical talk show format.” And maybe it will: Guadagnino will welcome celebrities into his family’s home in Staten Island, New York. His mama Paula and Uncle Nino, whom viewers have come to know on “Jersey Shore,” will be fixtures, offering commentary along the way. And pounds of pasta are sure to be consumed.

“Vinny’s unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre-busting take on the interview format,” said Chris Linn, MTV’s executive vice president of programming and head of production, in a statement. “As the lives of the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast evolve, we are excited to explore new ground while still delivering the laughs and surprises that fans have come to expect from the franchise.”

The show, which will obviously have no studio audience, will be executive produced by SallyAnn Salsano, the mother hen of the “Jersey Shore” gang.

It’s the third offshoot to come from the storied franchise, which is in its final season. Besties Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jennifer “JWoww” Farley got a second season for their spin-off, “Snooki & JWoww.” And Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio had his own platform in “Pauly D Project” last year, though any future seasons for that offering haven’t been announced.

The clan can also be seen Thursday in MTV’s fundraising special “Restore the Shore” -- encouraging viewers to contribute to help aid New Jersey relief efforts following the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy.
