“Claude Lanzmann: Spectres of the Shoah” is a new profile of the French filmmaker who created an epic and exhaustive 10-hour 1985 documentary about the Holocaust. 9 p.m. HBO

It’s a “Firefly” mini-reunion when that series’ Jewel Staite guests stars on a new episode of the Nathan Fillion mystery drama “Castle.” 10 p.m. ABC

Two present-day Germans revisit the WWII-era sins of their fathers in the documentary “My Nazi Legacy” on “Independent Lens.” 10 p.m. KOCE
