Teen Vogue’s Back-to-School Saturdays set to kick off
Teen Vogue initiated a shopping day full of special promotions called Back-to-School Saturday in 2012. This year, the event, aka #BTSS, has been stretched to almost a month long, from Friday through the Labor Day weekend (and it’s been renamed Back-to-School Saturdays in the process).
More than 130 malls across the country are participating this year -- you can find a list here of the shopping centers and some participating brands.
Events officially kick off in the L.A. area with a fashion show and concert featuring the Janoskians at 3 p.m. Friday at Del Amo Fashion Center, 3525 W. Carson St., Torrance. Teen Vogue Editor in Chief Amy Astley and Debby Ryan of the Disney Channel’s “Jessie” are to co-host.
Access to the event is free, but will be limited to the first 5,000 people wearing special wristbands. Wristbands will be distributed, one to a person, beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday (lines will start forming at 6 a.m.) on the fourth floor of the north parking structure (at the corner of Fashion Way and Del Amo Circle East).
Other events will take place at the Grove, Frankies in the Park in Santa Monica, Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, the Americana at Brand, Brea Mall.
