Want to meet Fergie? Buy some shoes

You may know Fergie best as the female vocalist with the Black Eyed Peas, but she also is active in the fashion world, with a line of shoes called Fergie Footwear.

The Grammy Award-winning singer is expected to introduce the fall 2015 collection and meet fans from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Nordstrom at the Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles. Customers who purchase shoes from the line at Nordstrom by Saturday can have the shoes autographed by Fergie, as time permits.

The event is taking place in the BP department on the first floor.

Abbot Kinney Market Place plans its first Second Saturdays sample sale pop up from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Brands including Gypsy05, Line + Dot and Madison Harding will be up to 70% off. The address 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice.

The Naked Princess plans to introduce its new Bliss Box of curated loungewear and beauty products for expectant moms with a party from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the flagship store, 653 N. Openings

Nike opened a huge new store this week at the Grove, meant to serve as the brand’s West Coast hub. The store encompasses 31,000 square feet in three stories, and it includes a miniature soccer pitch with a mural highlighting stars Clint Dempsey and Alex Morgan designed by local artist Tristan Eaton and an area for basketball dribbling. The store also offers customized services such as run analysis, bra fitting and pants hemming.

International apparel company Industry of All Nations is set to open its first retail location on Sept. 14 at 1121 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
