The 1 thing 6 former Victoria’s Secret Angels have in common

Becoming a Victoria’s Secret model is no easy task and earning your wings is even harder. Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen and Chanel Iman are just some of the iconic names that were once synonymous with Victoria’s Secret Angel. Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge, Jasmine Tookes and Behati Prinsloo have since made it past VS Heaven’s pearly gates, with Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid scoring their own pairs of wings — without the official title — for this year’s show.

As nothing lasts forever, Angels inevitably turn in their wings, but what do they do next? Many continue to model — naturally. Banks went on to front one of the most successful fashion reality TV shows, “America’s Next Top Model,” and launched her own Tyra Beauty line. Some former Angels eventually launched intimates lines of their own, capitalizing on their success as Victoria’s Secret Angels. Here’s a look at six former wing-holders who continued down the lingerie path.

Stephanie Seymour

Stephanie Seymour, who walked the VS runway as an Angel from 1995 to 2000, is preparing to release her own lingerie brand. Called Raven and Sparrow, the line will launch at Barneys in time for Valentine’s Day 2017.

Helena Christensen

Christensen, an Angel from 1997 to 1998, first teamed up with underwear brand Triumph in 2012 for a luxury lingerie collection. The line offered three ranges — called Poetica, Ballerina and Dahlia — and marked her first design venture.

Heidi Klum 

Following her 13-year tenure as an Angel, Heidi Klum launched a namesake lingerie brand of her own. The undergarments maven inked a deal with Bendon in 2014 and by the following year, Heidi Klum Intimates had officially hit stores. Klum continues to create traffic-stopping billboards for the brand.

Gisele Bündchen

Gisele Bündchen modeled Victoria’s Secret lingerie as an Angel from 1999 to 2006. She started her own intimates brand, Gisele Bündchen Intimates, in 2014, and launched it in her home country of Brazil.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

After nine years of modeling lingerie — five of which she spent as a VS Angel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley unveiled a lingerie collection of her own. Huntington-Whiteley launched Rosie for Autograph with Marks & Spencer in 2012. She continues to design and model for the brand.

Selita Ebanks

Technically, this one isn’t lingerie, but it’s in a similar vein. Selita Ebanks announced in March 2012 that she would be coming out with her own swimwear line called Sass by Selita. The former VS Angel showed a preview of the collection at BET’s “Rip the Runway” that same year.
