New York Fashion Week spring-summer 2013: Rachel Zoe
NEW YORK -- Stylist-designer Rachel Zoe showed her spring-summer 2013 collection at Lincoln Center on Thursday.
The inspiration: The effortless style of Jane Birkin, Talitha Getty and “the girls I see walking around in L.A.,” Zoe said backstage after the show, where she was greeting well-wishers in between feeding puffs to her son Skylar, who was in her arms.

The look: Malibu hostess with the mostess. Mod, color-block shift dress, tunic and trousers. Slouchy, clear pailette covered jersey top and knit maxi skirt. Sage green leather blazer worn with beachy stripe trousers. Drapey sweaters and polished-looking silk shorts. Off-the-shoulder maxi dress in cream striped silk. Tassel necklaces. Python sandals with chunky mirrored heels. Floppy hats. Color palette included turquoise, terracotta, cream and blush rose.
The scene: Pals Harvey Weinstein, Brian Atwood, Jacqui Getty and Anna Dello Russo, plus retail supporters such as Neiman Marcus fashion director Ken Downing.
The verdict: Easy, breezy and not just for boho girls anymore. Lots of pieces women can make their own.
