Ziggy Marley to perform, sign his new kids’ book in L.A.
Reggae musician Ziggy Marley is planning to launch his first children’s book, “I Love You Too,” with signings, readings and acoustic concerts at the Americana at Brand and the Grove.
The first event is a concert and reading at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kids Club at the Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, followed by a book signing at the shopping center’s Barnes & Noble at 1 p.m.
The second concert and reading is scheduled at 11 a.m. March 12 at the Americana at Brand, 889 Americana Way, Glendale, with the book signing starting at 1 p.m. at the mall’s Barnes & Noble.
Bridal
“Project Runway “ alum Austin Scarlett is scheduled to show his fall 2013 bridal and evening wear collection in a trunk show at the Saks Fifth Avenue Bridal Salon in Beverly Hills this Thursday through Saturday. Vintage
The next Helms District Vintage Boutique is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the LightSpace Studio, 8755 Washington Blvd., Culver City. A number of vendors dealing in designer vintage fashion, jewelry and accessories are expected. The show’s host, Clever Vintage Clothing, plans to unveil its latest collection of vintage dresses and evening gowns. General admission tickets are $5, but there are discounts of as much as 100% available on eventbrite depending on how far in advance you order.

Wednesday (March 6) is the last day to RSVP for Poshmark’s “California Girls Posh Party,” which is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Hyde Sunset, 8029 Sunset Blvd. Poshmark is an iPhone app that allows women to shop in the closets of others or sell their own clothes. The evening, open to those over 21 only, will include cocktails and the opportunity to virtually peek into the closets of blogger co-hosts Ashley of Pursuit of Shoes, Crystal of Cryskay, Melanee of Melanee Shale, Miriam of Simple X Classy and Sheryl of Walk in Wonderland. Ross Dress for Less is opening three new locations in the Los Angeles area and all of them plan their grand openings at 9 a.m. Saturday, with giveaways of $1,000 in Ross gift cards to celebrate. The latest Pop Cart at the Grove opened March 1 and features 100 styles of watches from La Mer that are priced $58 to $350. Customers will also be able to design their own watches at the cart. Once the customer has selected from bands, chains, faces, charms and other embellishments, the watch will be assembled by hand in California and shipped to the shopper. The La Mer Pop Cart is scheduled to be open through June at the Grove, 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.
