65-cent martinis at Dominick’s, Umami truffle menu (plus $75 burger), Halloween Dim Sum Crawl

Dominick’s, the West Hollywood hangout dating back to the ‘40s, celebrates its 65th anniversary on Monday with a one-night-only menu featuring 65-cent martinis. Mini vodka martinis, shaken or stirred, are 65 cents. Dinner for two, including prime steak pizzaiola with spaghetti and green beans, is $45. Umami Burger unveils its truffle season menu, including the return of the M.N.O. (Money’s No Object) Burger, updated for 2013. The truffle menu, other than the M.N.O. Burger, is available starting Monday, through Dec. 31, including Irish truffle fries – with truffle cheese fondue, truffle shiitake, shredded lardon and chives ($9); truffled ahi salad – raw ahi, truffle dressing, truffle tossed arugula, truffled shiitake and Cabernet onions ($15); Truffle Shiitake Royale Burger – beef patty, truffled shiitake, truffle cheese and truffle glaze ($14); Truffle Speciale Burger – beef patty, truffle thyme butter, parmesan frico, fried egg, truffle salt and truffle aioli ($13); and truffle salted ice cream – chocolate ice cream, truffle glaze and truffle salt ($5). The M.N.O. Burger 2013 is made with Bryan Flannery Wagyu beef, vintage port reduction and freshly shaved white truffles, and, where legal, seared foie gras. Chinatown’s costumed Dim Sum Crawl takes place Thursday -- there are still a few tickets left -- and here’s the final itinerary. 6 to 6:30 p.m.: Check in at Melody Lounge. Mingle with fellow costumed crawlers and start off the evening with a beer (of your choice) and traditional Chinese drinking snacks. 6:35 to 7:20 p.m.: Starry Kitchen | Aztec Brewing Co. On the menu at Starry Kitchen: tofu balls, garlic noodles with Sacrifice, Malaysian curry with Hibiscus Wheat, and sweet and sour sweetbread, all paired with Aztec beers such as Chipotle IPA, Sacrifice and Hibiscus Wheat. 7:25 to 8:10 p.m. Chego | Kirin Ichiban and Ichiban Frozen Beer. Roy Choi’s Ooey Gooey fries, seasonal veggies, Chubby Pork Belly rice bowl and blood sausage, along with Kirin Ichiban’s patented frozen beer. 8:15 to 9 p.m. Hop Woo | Ohana. Hop Woo’s imitation shark fin soup, roast suckling pig, lobster yee mein and marinated duck jaw, served with Ohana beers such as Hashtag Hops and Ohana Pale Ale. 9:05 to 10 p.m. Golden Dragon | Figueroa Mountain. Golden Dragon Seafood Restaurant serves shrimp dumplings, shiu mai, rice-noodle-wrapped cruller, custard bun and pickled chicken feet with Paradise Road Pilsner, Figueroa Moutain Pale Ale and Stagecoach Stout.
