Golden Globes 2014: What they ate at the Globes, after parties

Hollywood’s elite gathered Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. Sure, everyone’s talking about who wore what and who made out with whom ... Amy Poehler and Bono! But we’re really interested in what all the stars munched on during and after the show.

It may be hard to believe celebrities dressed in skin-tight gowns and tuxedos eat while the cameras are rolling, but they do. At the Globes, they are served a full three-course meal.

Beverly Hills Hilton executive chef Suki Sugiura and pastry chef Thomas Henzi prepared the food. Courses included an appetizer plate with grilled vegetables, hummus, pita bread, feta cheese and tabbouleh, a braised short rib with harissa crust, smoked trout, polenta and corn, and for dessert, mango yogurt mousse. Everyone sipped on Moët & Chandon bubbly.

And Julia Louis-Dreyfus managed to get her hands on a hot dog and scarf it down on camera.

At the Weinstein and Netflix after party, the stars munched on food provided by a variety of SBE restaurants including Cleo, Katsuya and the Bazaar.

Bites included Jose Andres’ American caviar cones, bagel and lox cones, jicama guacamole, modern olives and market ceviche; Katsuya’s wasabi hand rolls, salmon Ikura hand rolls, hamachi citrus spoons, tuna sesame chips, albacore onion spoons, Nigiri and baked crab rolls; Cleo’s baba ganoush, hummus, lebaneh, dolmades, fried cauliflower with Vadouvan and chicken kebabs; and SBE catering mac and cheese lollipops, crostini with caramelized onion and seared filet mignon and manchego-stuffed dates wrapped in apple smoked bacon.

And for dessert, Sheila G. of Brownie Brittle prepared a cart full of sweet treats with blondie truffles, peanut butter petit fours, double nut bars with Brownie Brittle crust and praline cheesecake with Brownie Brittle crust.

Champagne and Fiji water were toasted throughout the evening.

Ah ... to be rich, famous and well fed.
