The Hart and the Hunter’s Kris Tominaga to helm new Santa Monica restaurant
Kris Tominaga, one of the chefs at the Hart and the Hunter, will helm the kitchen at a new restaurant and bar replacing the Shack in Santa Monica. The restaurant is scheduled to open mid-summer.
Jeff Weinstein, who opened the Counter and Freddy Smalls, is behind the new project, which doesn’t have a name or a type of cuisine attached to it yet.
The new space is 2,800 square feet with indoor and outdoor seating areas and will seat around 100. There will be a full bar and a brick and stone hearth with a large wood-burning grill.
Tominaga will remain involved with the Hart and the Hunter while he works on the new project.
2518 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica.
